Conference Week & Signing up for your Conference Time

Fall Conferences will start on Tuesday, October 27th through Friday, October 30th from 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. We are looking forward to partnering with you! We will Zoom Conference with families and students via Schoology, this Fall.  Log into your child’s Schoology page and click into your teacher’s “Zoom” link at your conference time.  This is the same area your child logs into daily for Remote Learning.

This fall, conference scheduling will take place in Skyward Family Access. You will sign into your Skyward - Family Access account and click on the Conference tab to see available conference times.

·      Families with 2 or more Centennial Students may sign up for conferences starting October 15th & 16th

·      All Centennial Families sign up starting on October 17th

Online conference scheduling will close on Friday, October 23rd. If you need to schedule or make changes after that time, please contact the classroom teacher.

 

Tip: Use your desktop computer or laptop to access the Skyward - Conference Tab.  The Skyward-Mobile App on your phone does not have all the features to set up conferences. The Skyward-Mobile App is best used as a view only.

October 9th – Teacher In-Service Day – No School

Families that will be picking up lunches, breakfast or a Weekend Food Bag will need to pick up their food for both Thursday and Friday on Thursday, October 8th.  Please note that staff will be at the school to hand out “packets” during the morning and lunch pick up times. See below.

 

Wonders Textbooks and Packet Pick-up --Mark your calendars!

Distribution dates: 

Instructional materials aka “packets” will be available for pick-up every two weeks. Please note 5th grade student packets will begin October 8th - 9th. Completed packets can be turned back in when you collect the new packets 2 weeks later. Make sure your child’s name and teacher is on the packet.

Pick-up schedule:  Drive to the Bus Loading Zone to pick up items on these days and times

  • Morning pick-up time 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. (Thursday and Friday)
  • Lunch time 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. (Thursday and Friday) 
  •  Evening 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Thursday only)

 

CES Library Books

Books need to be placed on hold. See the Books to Go link above to walk you through the process. When the books are ready for pick up, an email will be sent to you with the date you can pick them up.  Walk around to the back of the school to the backdoor entrance of the library, to pick up your books. The library back door is across from the three portables, behind the school.  Follow the signs.

 

Fall Forms – Update Student Information Online- Please complete

Parents can start to update your child’s “Fall Start of School Forms” in Skyward-Family Access. 

Look for 2020-21 School Registration Tab and click on your child’s name to start the update. Start clicking on the forms located on the right side: updating your phone numbers and emergency contacts, Housing Survey, Military Family Status Form, Student Information Verification, OSD Handbook (with Acknowledgement), and Health Information. If you need to make an address correction you will need to contact the school office. Follow the instructions on that tab; fill out the form and then click submit. A quick video to help families

If you are a newly registered family, you do not need to update unless you want to make any changes or additions.

 

Attendance

Families please remember to call the Attendance Line at 360-596-8303 to let us know that your student will be absent from school (Remote Learning or Hybrid Model) for an illness, medical appointment or if you are gone a trip. This will eliminate the School Messenger “robo” calls from going out.  Also continue to monitor your child’s Remote Attendance Daily Check In process to be sure they are counted present for the day.

 

Chromebook or Technical Support

The OSD Tech Department is open weekdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., they are closed from 12:30-1:00 p.m. for lunch.  Families can come by to receive assistance.

 

The Knox District Office Building is downtown at 111 Bethel St. NE, Olympia, WA. The OSD Technology Department is located on the lower level of this building. Enter the parking lot and loading dock area on Tullis Street NE.

 

Chromebook Problems

If the OSD Chromebook is damaged, broken or is lost or stolen, please report it to the OSD Technology Department as soon as possible. Technology Helpdesk at 360-596-8530.

School Board Changes Meeting Dates
